Grocery shopping is a pain, but it doesn’t have to be. If you’re looking for an easy way to get around town and find the closest grocery store, Google Maps is your friend. In this post I’ll show you how simple it can be to navigate to a grocery store using Google Maps on your phone or tablet.
Open up Google Maps.
Open up Google Maps. The app is available on Android and iOS, so you can use it regardless of what device you have. If you have an Android phone or tablet, go to the Google Play Store and search for “Google Maps”; if you’re using an Apple device, download the app from Apple’s App Store (the same way we did).
Once there, tap on “Open.” Once it loads up:
- Tap on a location at which to navigate — this will be your starting point for navigating around town.
- Tap anywhere else in the world as well — these might be places that aren’t close enough for practical purposes but are still interesting places worth visiting anyway!

Use the search bar to look up a specific store, or use the map view to find grocery stores near you.
Tap on one of the grocery stores that comes up to see more information about it. If you have a store in mind, type it into the search bar at the top of your screen.
To navigate to a specific grocery store, tap on the name of one of them. The information about that store will appear in a new tab on your screen. To see more details about this particular store, tap on its location (the place where it’s located).

How to look up grocery stores with Google Maps
If you’re looking for a grocery store, Google Maps has several ways of getting there. First, open the Google Maps app on your phone and search for a location that’s close to where you are. Once this is done, click on the “Directions” button next to your current location in order to get directions from that point onward.
